Schlosser Development Corporation - Building Lifestyles From The Ground Up
Schlosser Development is a property development and management company that believes in "building lifestyles from the ground up." As a result, we pride ourselves in exploring what the public wants and matching the public's desire to the location desires of our tenants. Currently, we have developed and manage more than 2,000,000 square feet of retail and have another 750,000 square feet of mixed-use being developed.

There are two primary companies:

SDC Leasing & Management Services, Inc. brings to management all of its experience as a developer, owner, leasing agent, and contractor. Management recommendations are made with the perspective of the long term consequences and affect on the bottom line. We work to provide timely and detail-driven results to preserve and enhance the value for the Owner.

We recognize that the quality of our services is directly related to the quality of the individuals associated with the company. We look beyond operations skills and experience and seek those individuals with an understanding of the linkage between operations, leasing, construction, accounting and all other disciplines that comprise managing the asset. In order for us to respond to our clients’ needs with timely, market-specific information, our employees are kept abreast of vital real estate trends through associations with the following organizations:

•     Austin Association of Facilities and Management Engineers (AAFAME)
•     Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)
•     Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)
•     Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA)
•     Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC)

SDC Development Services has two development divisions:

1) Our Urban Division specializes in creating Urban Shopping Districts (USD). Our most current USD project includes the development of Whole Foods Market's national headquarters and its largest store in the nation (80,000 square feet). Other tenants in the project include AT&T, Starbucks, and Austin-based Book People and Pure Austin Gym. The first phase of the Market District development, which includes four blocks just west of downtown Austin, has been completed and the second and third phases are underway. Click here for more information on the Whole Foods project.

2) The Suburban Division creates Suburban Retail Environments (SRE). This division has tenant relationships with Pier 1, Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, OfficeMax, Kohl's, and others. Currently Schlosser Development has SREs in Houston, Laredo and McAllen.
